So I tried to seafoam the intake on my Yukon XL like I've done on a couple of other trucks I've had.

Normally once I start spraying the seafoam in there, and get enough where it bogs the engine down a little bit, I'll start getting some smoke out tail pipe, it didn't seem to matter how much I sprayed into the TB. It would barely bog, and it never smoked.

Much cleaner.

So in other words your internals are ckean? That's good news right ? I've never heard of a vehicle not blowing out white smoke.

So after about fifteen minutes of messing with it, I decided to do some cleaning instead.

I used STP Son of a gun and got some parts nice and shiny.

I wanted to pull off the "Vortec" cover to clean it better, but I discovered the brass bushing just spins in its hole, so no dice.

I went around to the back of the truck, and tested out how this stuff would on the vent covers.

Hopefully that is the case. I was hoping it being dirty was the reason for the hard starting problem.

Don't bother with son of a gun on the vent covers... unless you want to do it every day.

I came out to it looking like this after it rained a little bit over night.

Looks like the rain washed it off.

I scraped off the remains of the bumper stickers on the rear bumper tonight:

After I removed the base layer that they left behind of the round sticker, I found that it looks like they tried to use steel wool to scrub it off.
I used my razor scraper and some goo-gone, and they both came off without trouble or scratches that couldn't be polished out.

I'll probably end up putting my "Fueled by recycled dinosaurs" sticker on this side to hide this.

Lame about the bumper. Maybe vinyl wrap it. Can do chrome vinyl or colormatched. Just an idea, I'm always against stickers , especially those of the bumper area
