2000 GMC Yukon XL 1500 SLT
134,000 miles
As far as I can tell, everything is stock.

Mods/upgrades done so far:
LED upgrade all interior lights (not including dash and buttons)
LED Puddle lights
LED under hood light (plus replaced broken light assembly)
LED headlights

LED tail lights
LED reverse lights and action photos
Pioneer DEH-X6800BS head unit installed. Replaced with Pioneer AVH-X391BHS Double-Din HU.
Upgraded dome light so map lights come on with dome light (used diodes to prevent backfeed)

Denali projector headlights
Low-beam 5000K HID in projectors (upgraded to 9011 HIR bulbs)
LED reverse lights (photos of bulbs), action photos!
LED front turn signals (switchbacks + non-polarized side markers)
LED Front turn signals (amber LED turns + non-polarized side markers)
LED front turn signals (switchbacks + non-polarized side markers) (yes, I switched back to the switchbacks, again)
LED fog light bulbs
LED DRLs
New door speakers/subs/amp (Alpine SPS610 door speakers, SWA12 12" subs, MRV-M500 amp)
Air horns (only the driver side OE horn works. Driver side.) The drivers around here need a wake-up call. :signs6:
New OE style fog lights
Heavy duty headlight harness
Found a set of stock rims and had them installed.
Denali style chrome grille.
DL3 power folding, turn signal, heated mirrors.
Amateur Radio Call Plate.
Removed factory tape deck, and mounted 2m/70cm mobile remote head in it's place remote speaker for mobile rig.
Kenwood TM-D710GA 2m/70cm APRS mobile rig.

60" LED Tailgate light (The $20 one I got from Meijer wont work on the Yukon because of the body shape. Ended up installing on my dad's '98 Sierra.)
20" LED Light bar, mounted on a "mini-bull bar".
4-Hi headlights
Backup Camera

To do (List of things that probably won't get done):

Find a set of GM 5698 rims for summer tires

Remote Start

Escalade Roof Rack & vent covers

Clean rust off bumper (tried it, and it sort of helped)

Do something about rusted out rocker panel under rear driver side door

True dual exhaust with high flow mufflers. (My dad got it done on his '98 Sierra, and it looks and sounds great. Cost about $450 $700 installed)

Today as my (soon to be ex-) wife was pulling out of the drive way, she backed into the side of the Yukon:

Black mark down the side just below door handles from car mirror, and the red pant transfer from the side of the car.

She says that it happened because of the snow in the driveway.

That is 4" of light and fluffy snow.
Strange how I had no trouble backing it out of the driveway without hitting anything at all.
...and she wonders why I want to divorce her?

Second time this year she has ran into a car that was parked in that spot.

But yep... definable the snows fault.

Her first time driving in the snow ? How do you not see a giant yukon xl , and forget that it's your husbands and in your driveway.....and its there everyday. that sucks I'd say insurance will cover but your probably on the same insurance together so it's still money out of your pocket

It's not her first time in the snow, and not the first time in that car in the snow.
I've driven that Monte Carlo through quite a lot of snow, and it gets around great in the winter.
I'd recommend a low mileage one to anyone.

Here is another upgrade for the LED dome light:

When the dome light turns on, the two map lights turn on.

I did it with a couple of diodes between the lights. Below is a schematic of how it works:

I was playing with a circuit emulator program to make sure the idea would work.
I checked the current being drawn by the LEDs in the map lights, and each one only draw 100ma.
I found some 1A 600v diodes in my parts box, and soldered them so the map lights would get ground
from the dome light ground. You want to use diodes so the map lights still work like normal, and don't back-feed into the dome lights.
