I have 2007 Escalade and I recently put a Bluetooth VCIM and a Lockpick, I still have my factory head unit. Trying to figure out if I can play video files off a USB or an External Hard Drive from the rear AUX. Has anyone tried this? If so, how did you do it?

I'm thinking of a converter but don't want to purchase it if it don't work.

Your help is appreciated, Thanks

I could not get anything to work on OEM unit but after I changed units to pioneer, Mp4 videos work fine on the pioneer and on the stock rear entertainment screen. I would try mp4. You can find apps that save youtube videos on pc. Free and only wastes your time if it fails.
