Tailgate won't unlock with key

Hey,

I have never been able to unlock the tailgate with the door key. I'm fairly certain that it is the original tailgate.
It still opens just fine from the switch. It would be nice to be able to use the key though.

I took it apart and cleaned everything. Other than a mouse nest in the tailgate - I don't see anything wrong with the mechanism.

Anyone know of a way to repair the lock or if there are replacement cylinders available (I looked, can't find anything pre-2000)

Yay. It's fixed.

I had the (not so) great idea of spraying carb-cleaner into the lock as I was getting frustrated with it. After that it moved a little more so I kept at it.
It must have been a sticky couple of tumblers, because now it turns easily!
I followed it up with some silicone/teflon spray to lube and protect. I will probably gum it full of super lube when I find my tube.
