The kicker 6x9 and 6.75 speakers are 4 ohm. The factory speakers (non Bose) in the front doors and dash are 4 ohm as well but in parallel giving the fronts a 2 ohm impedance. As per Kicker Tech.

44KSC69304. 6x9
44KSC6704. 6.75

The Kicker packages are:

PSUTAYU15. 200w sub only
PSUTA. Sub and 32 bit processor/ Amp

The tech advised the PSUTA is designed for the factory speakers but if they were to recommend upgraded speakers, they are the KSC models.
How do they compare to the factory Bose speakers?

I talked with a Kicker tech today. Here's what he said about adding the PSUTA15 if you have the factory Bose system:

Unfortunately since you have factory Bose audio that multichannel amp will not work for your vehicle. The only option we have for Bose audio is the sub add on which you already have installed.

Bummer.

I've had the Kicker sub in for a couple weeks now. Been pretty happy with it for what it is. Here's some pics of the install:

BTW, these red panel clips are the devil.

Anybody know where this foam pad goes? I didn't see it mentioned or pictured in the instructions. It's about 1.5" square.

I wonder is that pad have a scouring rough side to it? Does the direction have you connect a wire to a ground?

No, it's got adhesive on one side. There is a ground, but it's to bare metal under the kick panel.

Based on all of that removal, I'm glad I paid the dealer $120.00. I surely would have broken some parts.

So how has it been now that you've had it for several months? Definitely looking to have one installed and you make the dealer route sound really appealing!

I’ve had the kit for several months now and found it very enjoyable.

I’ve heard of other people unhappy with it, but I’ve found most of them to be a bit younger and/or having the wrong expectation as to what the kit provides.

If you’re looking for a quality, non space taking, well balanced addition to the low end “umph” then I’d highly recommend it. Depending on the frequency range of the music your listening to, it can at times shake the mirror a bit but it’s not your shake the 6 cars around you kind of bass.

As long as you understand what you’re adding to the soundscape it’s a perfect match in my opinion. I will also say that I am pretty sure that Bose and Kicker spent some time on the EQ, I wouldn’t quite say the timbre matches perfectly but it sounds like at least some effort was made.

If anyone is in the Dallas Fort Worth area and wants to listen before you buy, PM me. Happy to meet up with new people!

There is my $0.02

I second Technyne's comment...very happy with it for what it is. I'm curious if swapping the stock Bose speakers in the front and rear doors with some of the same impedance (2 ohm) will yield a positive benefit to the sound.

When I called Kicker the first time about this they said it wasn’t tested in the Cadi. I was going to order it and dry fit it without the wiring, but I ended up ordering the JL Stealthbox “which is still on back order”
