Pretty.

Time for new shocks on this dude. 170k this weekend.

What's everyones preference?

No four wheeling. It's a 2x4.

I don't always venture out into the sub-freezing darkness, but when I do, it is hunting season, and I carry a Remington. Stay hungry my friends.
Hate to break it to ya. She's a 4X.925f2c0cee82032d896bf89d47f3f3c3.jpg

I meant MINE is a 2x4 so keep that in mind when recommending shocks. My bad.

What is the reliability of a 8.1L ? Are they about the same as an 6.0L??
The 8.1 is fairly rare around here so I am not sure. I had a buddy with a 98 3500 suburban with a 454 and it was great. Only problem was the manifold gaskets kept blowing.

Super reliable; the truck will fall apart around the engine. And it's a torque monster. 225k and climbing on mine.
That’s great to know. Thanks
What is your mileage like ?
I am looking into a 2500 sub. Prefer a 8.1 but not sure if a 6.0 is the better way to go. Since they are the ones more available. I am using it to tow mostly. I don’t want a huge car payment so I think a old one and I can still mod it

Milage/ fuel economy is not its strong point. Average 12 mpg with a tail wind. 6.0 is not much better on gas. If you want fuel economy; get a Prius. If you want to tow and don't want to become a diesel guy, 8.1 big block is the way to go. Edward Cross has a Facebook group for the 8.1 and he is the go to guy for anything 8.1 related.
