was looking to tint my lights but i was looking for a shade lighter then your first coat? Did it come out so dark because of the can of VHT night shade you used? i bascially just want a hint of shade. Is there a different can i could use

Question, I picked up some OEM 2012 lights and got them very cheap due to a crack in one. Th crack isn't deep or big but has a slight bit of length to it. I guess my question is if I was to go with 3 coats or so would it be very noticeable when light up?

Here is a couple suggestions...

1. Remove tape.from.reverse light BEFORE clear coat, this will help hide the line and seal that edge.

2. Any auto paint supply house can do an aerosol version of a quality clear.

Otherwise they look great.

You can also have the auto supply house do a black pearl to a can of clear and have a higher quality coating.
