Recently put on new 20x9 wheels with +18 offset. Doing a smallish lift, because of offset, I can't do spindles like I wanted, but will probably just go for around 2.5" key lift and 1" rear spring spacers. Putting in new shocks as well, likely the Bilstein 5100s.

I'm trying to make a decision on tires. Ride and noise are pretty important, offroad performance is minimally important (just a 2WD), but I do want a more aggressive look than the Toyo Proxes IIs I have now. Currently running 285/50r20s (31.2X11.2r20) with zero rubbing.

I want to go to a larger and more aggressive-appearing tire and am wondering with this modest lift what I can get without having to resort to trimming anything.

I am looking at the Toyo Open Country A/T II in a 275/60r20 (33X10.8r20) or something similar.

I'm open to suggestions... I've done some searching here, but it's hard to find much on 20" wheels with small lifts. Honestly most folks with 20" wheels seem to go more with the "street" look than the "offroad" look. I'm not looking for a huge monster lift or rock crawler appearance, just something a bit more aggressive in appearance than what I have right now.

Here is what I'm working with:

I'd appreciate any help you guys can offer. I thought I had time, but my tires need replacing now, so I need to rush the lift first, so I can check clearance for sure and then order tires. I guess I'll be driving my Z for the next week or two...

BFG T/A KO2 (8-ply = HEAVY, right? Poor accel, poor mileage? I don't care about accel rate, I'm not a leadfoot)

Got enough pics there for ya'll? lol Just thought I'd throw some out there, this is the kind of look I am going for. Off-road performance is not overly important, it's pretty rare I am out in the sticks, honestly.

Thanks for any ideas or suggestions!

Alright, well, here's my before and after:

Tahoe%20compare-X2.jpg

I'm pretty happy with it, though now, looking at it in my driveway (which has a decided slope, to be sure), I almost think I could use another inch or two in the back. But, I need ot get some pics and measurements on flat ground. But overall, I am very glad. Running boards will soon be deleted and replaced with these (after coating in GatorHyde, probably):

Then I'll add a grill guard, probably the Ranch Hand.

Very happy with my 275/60/20 Falken Wildpeak AT3. Haven't gotten them swapped over to my new wheels yet, but here is a pic of them when they were still on:

I looked at the Falken, and would have saved me a lot of cash, too, but I fell victim to reading too many "reviews". Every tire I found had some that were negative, but I think, if I remember right, the Falkens were reputedly pretty loud on the road - which I put a lot of weight into, since I drive so much on the highway.

I liked your before pic, but take it from someone who has been 2/3 2/4 3" 4" 6-7.5" in heights, same truck.

I'm now at 3" lift and 20x12s with 305 55 20s. Toyo at tires. Now I'm happy. Plus you will rarely if any see this setup around. Lots of cutting in the right places plus NorCal mods. No rubbing at all. However you will never notice. Truck looks badass. Wanted tuff but street and still truck and performance. Hard combination.
