Side view mirrors

2008 GMC Yukon hybrid. My passenger side mirror no longer functions with the collapse/expand button. I’m not sure where to start with replacement.

The driver side mirror works without issue Any ideas ?

Common prob, gears inside are stripped. 2 options, replace motor inside mirror housing or replace entire mirrot.

X2, and if you choose to replace the gear, they make metal replacements.

Either way, you have to remove the whole assembly from the door. I have the same issue, and I plan eventually to buy a replacement, swap out the white plate, then repair the broken one and sell it for a bit of recovery.
