I posted this to say thanks for all the good info & how to efforts you've all done, that helped me greatly.

Installed R1 Rotors on my 2012 Tahoe at 86,000 miles. Smooth braking, no issues. I chose drilled only because of an SAE paper that showed drilled has a measurable improvement in brake cooling, (see http://papers.sae.org/2006-01-0691/ ). Also, when I called R1 (online price with discount was $313, free shipping) and asked, I received a discount, so total was $274, free shipping. These are the E-Line drilled rotors F&R, no pads. By hand feel, they were heavier than the stock rotors. I prefer to use Advance Auto "Gold" ceramic pads. Work good, last long time, no/low brake dust. have over 250,000 miles of experience with these pads on 4 different vehicles.

Second review is the Airaid Jr intake tube. Install was straight forward. Didn't notice any addition noise at speed (steady at 20-30-45-60-70 mph). Did hear the difference on a 0-70 mph WOT, also felt a slight performance improvement (based on my scientifically calibrated seat of pants!).

Updated mileage info on Airaid Jr.: Using before & after DIC mileage each which included a week of commuting & a 450 mile round trip (as close to apples to apples as I could manage), my milage went from 17.6 (before) to 18.6 (after) Airaid Jr. install.

Thanks Folks!

Big thumbs up for the update.

How is faily driving noise with airraid jr ?

I am giving some thought to the MIT, as i usually open up the stock box intake hole some...might as help the extra air flow.

I notice a "burble" occasionally. The only time it sounds different is a WOT. Overall, just as quiet as stock until you start accelerating hard.

Update: Brakes now have 116,000 miles. Still smooth, no noise, very low dust & good stopping power. Mileage for Airaid Jr. varies between 18.5 & 18.2 mpg. No changes from last update at 106,000 miles. Works good, lasts long time!

Changed rear pads at 172,000 miles. R1 rotors still in good shape.
