I'm upgrading from si105 alternator to a cs144.
I know I need a conversion pigtail, but dont know which one.
I've read that if you have only the warning light the one with out the resistor is used.
If you gave a alternator gauge the one with the resistor is used.

Problem is on the 1999 Yukon there is a battery light (shaped like a battery) that comes on when the key is turned on, but goes off when the engine is started.
My Yukon also has a alternator gauge.
I'm guessing that I need the one with the resistor despite having the idiot light.

Can any one confirm which one I need.
Appreciate any help, I've read the internet till I'm Xeyed...............
