I installed R1concept slotted/cross drilled rotors on my tahoe and i cant say anything negative about them. I went with hawk pads which was not really necessary. OEM pads i think would have been fine plus you could save on cost compared to the hawks. At the same time I ran new brake fluid by bleeding the system and also painted the calipers with the paint they sell. Looks good and still looks good over a year and half later. My brother did same install on his suburban and he loves them as well.

Got my shipment in tonight. Going to install them tomorrow. These are the premium slotted for a 05 GTO And they are nice. Directions say slots can be mounted either way but I'm going the same direction as clkelley since that's the only way i've seen them mounted.

Make sure when you install them that you take some brake parts cleaner and clean the rotors before installation. This will ensure that there isn't any residual "lubrication" (for lack of a better word) left on them that would allow for inadequate performance.

Thanks again for the order, let me know if you run into anything you need assistance with in the future.

Liking the brakes so far. The usual break in noise and it's already tapering off. Braking is smooth, strong and no weird vibration. I went thru 2 cans of brake kleen and was looking for more.

Definitely better than the sketchy stock stuff.

I have updated the link at the beginning of the thread to lead to the R1 Catalog on their site for more complete catalog application coverage. However, as always, anyone with questions or concerns can feel free to contact me personally.
