Question for you Hybrid owners

okay so my mom brought home a hybrid this weekend she is looking at buying. I was driving around a little bit and noticed when you slip the truck into reverse and it comes off the "auto stop" to engine power it seems to lurch backward. anyone else notice this?

When in reverse it only uses engine power, this is the same in my 2009 hybrid tahoe.

That's actually not entirely true. I think it must depend on how much charge the battery has because mine will go into engine power during reverse but only sporadically.
