Ongoing Mods to my Esky

Have a dragracing friend that has recently gotten into the dip business game.


Well with winter coming...and the chrome on my 22s starting to hurt I was getting ready to put the stock wheels and tires back on... HATE EM.

We got to talking and he asked if I thought about dippin em... it will hide the imperfections...and it will keep em from getting much worse with the salt and brine on the roadways.

I know dip is not perm...but if I dig it... ill let em go as long as they last...then send em out for chrome stripping and powdercoating the same color.

What color am I going with u ask... well he is gonna try to match the truck... white with the pearl stuff.


If there is some extra...hes gonna hit the top of the headlights with some "eyelids" since the inside of the lenses have gone cloudy white...

And...of there is extra from there... hes gonnleave the wreathes chrome... but shoot the inners pearl white as well...

We will see how it comes out.

Not sure how I feel bout the "angry" eyes... but I guess thats the beauty of the dip...

Well here it is... final product.

Love the look...LOVE IT!

ON the fence about angry eyes and wreath centers.

(Did the angry eyes cause the housing are faded on the inside )

Maybe put a different logo inside the emblem centers like a last name initial or something along those lines? But other than that I like it. Not sure about the headlights tho

I have plans for the centers... thats why I needed the solid back drop.

No on the 'eyes'......look outta place-just get new ones altogether
Rims looked better before(even though they are pitted)....

Your Esky had a nice clean theme to it-now not so much....just my 2 pennies.

I like the idea on the wheels. The thing that bugs me is the white doesn't match the color of your esky. If it matched it'd be a lot better the "eyes" aren't my thing either but like you said it's easy to reverse when you go a different route

I think your truck is clean enough to merit buying a new set of lights. Lots of crest vinyl options out there a lil nicer than the dip.

Wheels are tight. Wish they matched more but I do like.
