Np246 Help

I’ve got a 99 suburban 2500 454/4l80e/np246 that fell victim to the chain rub and was ran dry. I pulled another np246 out of a 98 suburban 350/4l60e/np246. I know the input shaft is a different spline set 27 to 32 but once I swap the input shaft over is this tcase going to work? Here are the two stamps the red one is from my 99 the silver one is from the 98

I would measure the length and sealing surfaces to double check they are the same, if they are about the same I don't see why it wouldn't be swappable. I doubt GM would have done it impossible since they make most things swappable between similar versions of the same products with some simple swaps. For example 4l60e's and 4x4 4l60e's you just swap the shaft for the one that you need and adapter and you got it working for your 2wd from a 4x4.
