owners manuals are on the web for free. the only other way is to search the vin# or ask the dealer to call the gm dealer to run the vin and fax them a rpo list of options it has. as they own it. dealers only give info to the owner, not some guy with a vin walking off the street with no proof of ownership.

You can go to the GM site and start a chat support, give them the VIN and they should copy and paste a build sheet into the chat window.

Jim, go to compnine.com and put in the VIN, costs a couple of bucks. It will give you the RPO sheet and other information about your prospect vehicles. Look up the G-codes for the axle ratio.

There should be a sticker on the driver's door jamb too showing the GVWR of that particular vehicle as optioned.

A 4-speed Yukon, the short one, with a 5.3 had these specs for towing:

2WD with 3.42 Gear: 6,400 lbs
2WD with 3.73 Gear: 7,500 lbs
4WD with 3.73 Gear: 7,200 lbs
4WD with 4.10 Gears: 8,200 lbs

Don't know what you know about trailering, there are many other factors and weights to consider when towing.
