Thanks guys if 12.5 is going to be to wide what size tires would be good to run dont want my tires to stick out to far but maybe a little bit

If you just want a bit like mine do, do a (desired wheel diameter) by 9" wheel, and 285/70/(wheel size). It is a true 33" tire I believe.

Not really accurate...changing the wheel size changes the aspect ratio of the sidewall to diameter of the tire.

A 285x70r17 is 33" while a 285x70r18 is 33.8"

If you're running bigger wheels, the two sizes you likely consider are 305x50x20 (32") and 305x55x20 (33.2")

Changes in wheel width will effect the offset you choose. A 8.5" wheel with -12 offset is going to fit inside (or out) of the wheel well differently than a 9" wheel with the same offset. Keep in mind that the width of the tire is just as important...Some 33s are 11, 11.5, 12, 12.5 and will all fit differently and scrub more or less based on the wheel you choose.

Mine are 20x9 -12 offset with a 305x55x20, or 33.2x12.6 , and they sit outside of the fender by maybe 3/4". Throw a little water, but I like how they look. I spent a lot of time making them fit right though, because I didn't want to lift the suspension. I still scrub in reverse near lock.

Looks like a HD front bumper and custom HD grill. Looks grate though. I like the grill alot.

Both trucks look great. Hoping mine will be up next.

Heleonardman: thanks, looking to see if after the lift and tires that I will still fit in the garage

Nope custom steel full replacement front bumpers and Z-71 grills painted to match with black SS street scene inserts.

It's a HD bumper cap and HD grill, usually you have to cut and reweld the frame horns higher to use them but I decided to go with a 1.5 body lift so I could leave the frame horns in place

My height at the fenders is 38 1/2" on both left and right side. The rear is 38 1/4" and to the top of the roof highest point (mid part of the truck) w/o roof rack was ~77".
Im at 37.5 in the rear fender height without rear spacers

i have an 11.5 and they are just shy of sticking out. a 12 would probably be the minimum for them to stick out

Sorry if I am beating a dead horse, but I have some similar questions. First, I did the 2 inch coil spacer, Z71 coils, and 5100s in the rear and the keys were bumped up a couple inches from where it was so it is sitting level (aftermarket keys installed a while back). I am considering a 16x8 or 17x9 inch rim with either a 285/75/16 or 285/70/17 tire. First question, is it inevitable that you are going to get a rub with these two setups? Nearly every person that I have seen on here seems to get rubbing at full lock with either setup. Second, what would make it more unlikely? Decreasing the offset (negative offset)? Less backspace? Maybe going to a 17x8.5 inch rim, instead of 17x9? If it helps, the 16 inch is 16x8, 0mm offset, and 4.45in backspacing. The 17 is 17x9, -12mm offset, 4.49in backspace. Thanks for any help!
