New member with a neat trick for the Escalade crowd

Hi guys- one problem that all Cadillac emblems have is that the red paint eventually fades from the sun. I found a cheap remedy that actually looks better than new emblems. I bought this red reflective tape for a couple bucks:

Then laid it over the faded red and carefully cut it to shape with a fresh x acto knife, leaving me with this:

Now, you have to be right up on it to see that it is tape, but it has a cool reflective quality that looks great at night. I did this with my 2004 and they lasted through years of car washes and waxes, road trips, etc. Just did it on my 2007, and it made them look brand new.

Nope... seriously. but new ones aren't that expensive. Let's than a full tank of gas...

I actually did the same with my bowtie. Blue 3M heavy duty construction sign reflectove tape.




I've since changed it to white
