I have a 96 Tahoe 5.7 Vortec 4WD.
I am trying to understand the ideal values for the MAF sensor.
I can see online that a warm engine idling should have a MAF reading around 6 g/sec, which my sensor outputs.
But, can't find a reference table on high RPMs.
BTW, what to compare with MAF sensor readings? Engine load, RPM, throttle position?
In this graph, I can see
A: At 25% throttle, 2000 RPM, 55% engine load --> MAF reads 50 g/sec
B: At 50% throttle, 3000 RPM, 65% engine load --> MAF reads 80 g/sec
C: Idling, 600 RPM, 20% engine load --> MAF reads 7 g/sec
How do these MAF values look to you?
Other question: are engine load 20% and engine speed 600 RPM OK when idling?
