Little play in steering wheel 09 escalade. Can i adjust steering box

I know in my 04 yukon xl there's a steering box visible that can be slightly adjusted to address this slightl play in steering wheel.. the whole front end seems tight and stiff but only the wheel has maybe a 1/4" each way before it will move anythinh... is there a steering box like my 04? Where is it located?Or maybe the issue might be in the actual column.. I just spent slot fixing an intermittent electrical issue..replaceds modules etc finally it was a bad air ride module harness..atleast I hope it was.. it's been a 9 days with no problems but was hoping a less expensive fix was possible
