I have a 3013 Yukon XL 2500 with a 6.0. Approx 45k miles.
It has a lifter "knock" and a power steering "whine" to it.
I run full synthetic and the dealer has "replaced" the PS pump once.
Now they are telling me the noises are "normal".
Any input from anyone?

No PS whine on mine. Is it all the time or when you turn?

What's the knock sound like? An actual metal tapping sound? Mine makes a ticking sound that could be mistaken for an exhaust leak, but there isn't so I'm not worried. Have a few more years on the powertrain warranty so I'm just keeping an eye on it.

It whines all the time. This is my third Yukon, although it's my first 6.0 2500.
The valve "Tick" gets louder as the oil ages, using full syn I can make it to maybe 50% before the "tick" becomes really noticeable.

How many miles is 50% for you? I've only owned mine for ~6k, and did my first oil change at the 5k mark.

Might be worth searching Google for things like "L96 lifter noise"... it's a popular engine, but not as prevalent here. There may be more experience with 6.0L noises where the 2500 pickup trucks converge
