Lift Gate/ Hatch Lock Issue

[Doubleclutch]

So I was using the lift gate and noticed the hatch behaves as though it is locked when the car is not locked. However, if you lock the car and pull on the gate latch, the gate will open (setting off the alarm).

Obviously something is stuck or broken. Any ideas?

Fixed mine today, turned out to be the connector in the rear headliner. Glad that's fixed

Thanks! I have a build thread to it somewhere on a TA forum. Took me 4 years, frame off. I got some trophies with it, problem was that its too nice to drive with the traffic in my area.
