I have pondered this idea. Although I was thinking of using the factory fog light wiring. Does anyone know if the wiring/relay system would be heavy enough for such a lightbar? Pro's and Con's of using this set up?
I had (2) 8' on my 2000 Yukon in place of the factory fogs and it ran off the stock system just fine, but if you think a bigger bar might be to much for it then you can still use the factory switch and just run a relay very easy to do and it takes the stress off the factory system, the relay just makes the factory button a on/off control.

Thinking of doing this and using an on-off-on switch so I can select between On, Off, and On with High Beams. Only issue I'm having is figuring out where I can tap a signal wire from the high beams circuit. Anybody know?

I know I could do an add a fuse to the high beam fuse in the engine fuse panel but I'm not sure if that's the best idea.

I shoved a 42” behind my grill, clears headlights by 1/4”. I put my switches up where the garage door opener unit is, well between it and the lights will post pic in 30 seconds

I just bought a 40" curved and put it on my Civic as a trial run. Will be installing it behind the grill of my Yukon soon. First pic is headlights only, second pic is light bar only.

How long did the install take? I am going to try to install two 40" light bars behind my grill next week. Hoping there is room.
