interior lights do not come on with rear doors

I've noticed lately that when I open my rear doors the interior lights do not come on but they do with the front doors and rear lift gate. Any ideas? Its a 2009 gmc yukon xl denali.

The dome lights on my 2009 Tahoe have stopped coming on when the doors are opened. They come on when the instrument panel dimmer is cranked all the way up. I've pushed the button in & out multiple times and no change.

The lights worked fine until my wife took it in for a vehicle safety inspection and they didn't work when she got home. I'm sure they turned on the lights to check them, I'm just trying to figure out if there is something they may have done to disable the auto-on feature.
