Ok so im trying to put a second battery in the drivers side. I have the bolt and the wedge but i dont see where these go. Is there supposed to be a tray for the battery? I see 4 empty spots where bolts go where ot looks like a tray should go there. If there is supposed to be a tray anyone have the part number?

There are posts, recent and older that explain how folks added the second to their trucks. GM had two methods, both of which have tutorials here somewhere with all the parts needed.

Yes, there is supposed to be a battery tray, at least mine has one and is a single battery setup. Yours was probably removed before sale.

Thanks I think i found the tray, I just need to find the bolts now.

I won't need a tutorial for wiring it up. I'm using this for reserve power for car audio so it's just a matter of connecting it to the other battery and adding a ground and fuse. I just didn't know how to get the battery physically installed and if there was supposed to be a tray.

that tray you have linked above is just another passenger side tray
you will want the LEFT drivers tray

and it probably mounts up with some standard 10mm body bolts, I haven't checked mine but there pretty commonly used.

the oem battery cable normally used is this one it runs under the engine and clips to the existing wire harness and to the starter
https://www.ebay.com/itm/ACDelco-25...ash=item43fcfddeb7:g:CBUAAOSwkNZUkWJV&vxp=mtr
this doubles your cca and gives you double the amp hrs, your batteries should be matched brand/type and it's not advisable to use and old one and a new one.
mine were about a 1yr apart but are the exact same battery, I would recommend AGM type

The one I listed says "left" tray for 07-13 and when I look up that part number it says auxiliary left battery tray. I think they used the WRONG picture on the diagram but have the part number correct. When I do a google image search for that part number this one comes up which uses the correct picture:

https://www.gmpartsgiant.com/parts/gm-tray-25826079.html

Also the one you listed says 97-07 and I have a 08

Both batteries will be AGM. I'm just getting this one setup along with my dual runs of 1/0. The AGM won't be connected in parallel with the lead acid. When I'm done I will have both AGM's running in parallel which will double the ampere hours. CCA or CA is not a concern for me because I live in Arizona, I only care about overall capacity which running in parallel will combine the capacity.

Update. The picture was incorrect but the part number is correct. Got it today and it fits the left side perfectly. P/N

I'm running two Stinger batteries under my back seat. One for the stereo system and the other runs everything else.
