I saw them from really far away on the interstate and he was getting off on the same exit as me. I was like wtf why are those tails blinking orange and red. Then I caught up to him to see the ugly shame.

It's interesting tho ... last night I pulled up behind a parked esky stretch limo with it's hazards blinking. They were disconnected from the vertical leds and they were amber bulbs (presumably switchbacks) flashing through the reverse light segment.

Dunno if it was done just to be different or if vehicles beyond a certain length have to have amber rear turn signals whatever state it was registered in ... whatever the reason it really caught my attention.
