I completely agree (why I'm going fabtech over something like rcx) you and the other guy seem to think I'm arguing against that all I was doing was stating what I'm running currently for suspension and what size tires I'm clearing. I do appreciate the insight though
No and I apologize if it came off that way. The point is if someone is told only half the information then they cannot make an informed decision. OP has a quality lift kit and should be able to make what he has work with what he wants to but when John Doe comes on and see he can crank his stock suspension and just add this or that then he is not receiving the actual information he needs. Make sense?

I could agree with that I didn't read to deep into the pass because I'm at work so I apologize for that as you can see I'm very new to the forum but I sure love the info coming through it. I'll get better at this haha

No fault thrown your way. I would like to see the forum as a whole have the most accurate and best information available. Glad to have you around and awaiting pictures of the Fabtech when you get it installed

On my old truck, i felt the need to have it overcranked and it drove just fine like that. I wasnt close to maxed out, i had no alignment issues, and it didnt eat up front suspension parts like everyone thinks. Im not saying yours wont im just giving you my input through my experience. Not everyone can run 08 cvs and crank the tbars like a 16yo in his first truck. You must have a lift and if you have a lift you should be prepared to go through suspension parts at a quicker rate because larger tires add stress to everything. With that being said i was just offering an alternative solution that helps prolong the life of your cv shaft if you do wish to crank above manufacturer spec. Take my advise with a grain of salt.

(honestly have no knowledge on the advantages on the CV change over mentioned)
The advantage is you get to ditch the spacer between the cv and the diff. It sets the joint closer to the diff reducing the cv angles. As far as i know it only works on half ton style gmt800 trucks and suvs. It doesnt have to be 08 specifically just 07.5-13 shafts.:Handshake:

Like I said before:

there are so many components that are effected by adjusting the torsion bars; different CV joints may address or help one part but ignore the rest, same with new upper CAs.

I am not disagreeing with your method or statement but simply saying it is not enough information to adequately answer the question.

LOL, Yea I'm still here. I took a break. I figured I'll just wear down the BF goodrich tires I put on and then check back in my original post a little later. AND WHOA..... looks like I missed a lot. Thanks for everyone's input/advise! So far I've driven 12k miles on BFG tires. AND yes i still want to go to 35x12.50. Also as an update since then I installed a Diablo i2 Tuner and it woke my truck up! Alot more responsive and shift patterns are normal now. No more struggling uphills with transmission acting all confused to what rpm/gear it wants to be in. LOL But yea....burb is running perfect with my little dinky tires and ugly wheels.
