After too many wheeling trips the lower half of my bumper and fog lights were pretty mangled, so I decided to go out on a limb and hack the bottom half off....turns out I kind of like it.
Now I can have a lower tube bumper fabricated and tie it into the winch mount I am putting on

That should work nice for your custom application. Be interested to see how it comes out.

Love the bumper. You mind telling me what size those wheels and tires are and what brand the wheels are. I love your setup

Tires are lt285/75/R16 tires, have several wheeling trips on them and absolutely love them, quiet on road and great off road. Wheels are American Racing AR172 baja 16x8 0mm offset. They did rub the front bumper before i hacked it off and i trimmed the running board a bit but not bad.

Do you have any type of lift or torsion key crank? I have 16x8 0mm offset as well. I am running LT265/75/R16 and it seems like there is sufficient room with the torsion key set as is. I trimmed the rear of the front fenders when I installed my rock sliders and I can always take an angle grinder to the lower part of the front OEM bumper. The 285's might only have a rubbing issue when fully cranked to one side or the other on the inside of the tire against the frame. Do you know where you are hitting and does it hit when you are wheeling and the shocks are compressed?

The pics on my Project 99 Yukon don't really show the fender trim and wheel well space but Ill get a few pics and post them later.
