For the past couple weeks I’ve been researching the best ice chests and was dead set on getting one. Then my wife opened her big mouth and said “why do you need a $300 ice chest in the winter?” Good point. So I decided to upgrade something on my truck, so the brakes were at the top of the list. For 3 days I’ve been reading post after post after post on probably 4-5 different forums. I’ve read a lot of good info including parts lists with part numbers. But I don’t know who’s parts list to go with, or if I even should go with their list, mainly because there are subtle differences and quite frankly my eyes are bleeding from all the reading. Can someone who has actually done the swap and has a 1998 or so 4wd Yukon please help? Or maybe someone who is an expert at doing the swap?! Lol. Since its the brakes, I’m not really wanting to get anything from the junkyard unless I just absolutely have to. If someone can help me I would really appreciate it! By the way here’s a couple of parts lists I’ve foundc93740e0c2d9ee56f5ae40d083d84d39.jpg351763969ad0c97d769e6c1e81c73c00.jpg9b7caf75d0bd4918debe3a9a6083e24a.jpg5b841d931e9559bf5bfc50451daf635c.jpg

I've been reading about hydroboost for my 1998 2 door 4wd rig too. I recall reading about picking up the hydroboost unit and master cylinder from a 2004 NBS silverado. I believe they came on the HD trucks. Then picking up the requisite hoses from Rockauto for the 1998 2door tahoe with the 6.5L diesel. These hoses will be bent to accommodate the gear in our trucks as its the same or similar to the diesel version. Also read that the power steering cooler is a very good idea. Good luck. I may try is upgrade soon. If you want to spend the money on all new parts you could probably pick everything up from Rockauto for the diesel version of our rigs. Fairly expensive though.
