How many times does your air bag light flash?

When i start up i get 6 flashes. How about you?

I had a shop tell me it was a clock spring code.
Reading online i have seen people say its normal and not code related.
I recalled the shop saying they couldn't clear the code... so i think to myself is that because its not a code at all?

Mine does the same on both of my 98s.

I would think that a stored code would keep the light on all of the time, though.

From my reserach today it sounds like its part of a self diagnostic test it runs every time upon start up.
