Ive never done this before so its taken weeks for me to get it close to specs. If you can tell me how my pattern looks and any advice will be great

From what I see, your pinion shim is a little thick on the DRIVE which will also effect the coast. I always like the pattern you have right in the center, which will give you NO NOISE on pull and NO whine on coast. A small change gores a long way on the pattern, I'm thinking a smaller shim 0.003 to 0.005 thousands less than what you are using. I know it's a ***** pulling the pinion bearing to change the shim , whereas on a ford 9", it's much easier, but this is GM territory. JMHO and good luck.

Great advice. A guy down my street told me the same exact thing to move it .005. I'm just trying to get a general consensus. Thank you

Motive gear. The shop in Vegas told me they stopped installing Motive 4 or 5 years ago because of that hum. He said mine was not that bad and as long as it doesnt get worse or if it starts to vibrate or especially if there is a lot of shavings on the magnet not to worry about it. He said with Yukon they never have had problems. And the shop in LA said they install them but they caution the buyer about Motive that some not all make the noise. They didnt know why Motive gears make the hum.
