How do I remove the cross bars on my roof rack?

Tried doing a search for this, but couldn't find anything.

Anyways, I just want to remove the cross bars on my roof rack (2003 Tahoe LT). I didn't want to break anything, so I wanted to know if there was an easy way to do it?

pull the screws out of the end caps and remove them, then the cross braces have a tab on each end, lift and slide them all the way off... piece of cake

Sounds easy enough. The end caps are at the rear of the car I assume?

the end caps are at each end of the rack. one in on front end one on rear end. as stated, u have to remove the screws. two torx screws per cap. slide the cap off, and the cross bars will slide off the end. I just took ours off and reinstalled it yesterday to repaint it. shouldnt take u more than about 5 minutes to do it.
