My check engine light came on the other day so I took it to jiffy lube to get the code read. It came back as an evap sensor malfunction. First thing I did was check my gas cap and it was fine. Where is the evap sensor on a 5.3 and can I buy it and install it myself?

Sorry it took me a few days to respond. I didn't see this until now.

It's likely the Evap CVS. GM has a redesign for the original part. It should take you less than an hour to do the job in your driveway. It's under the truck in the rear. All you need to remove to do the job is your spare tire.
