2011 Tahoe 5.3 loses power when accelerating. When rpm gets to around 1800-2000, it loses power and makes a noise that sounds similar to a backfire. It started doing this randomly for a couple weeks. After turning engine off for a couple minutes and restarting, it would run fine. It now does it every time. No messages or codes. Also idles normal. Thinking it can be anything from an exhaust or fuel issue to a number of different sensors. Anyone have any experience with this issue before I start throwing parts at it?

The first "part" you should consider throwing at it is a fuel pressure gauge taped to the windshield so you can monitor the fuel pressure when it acts up. Or put a graphing scanner on it to graph the fuel pressure over time.
