Does installing CCM 2.5/1 require changing shocks too?

Hey guys,

I have gone back and forth a million times on what tires to get, what size, and to install or not to install the CCM leveling kit that's been sitting in my shed for 2 years.

I have a black 07 Z71 Tahoe sitting stock everything right now in regards to tires, wheels and suspension.
One of the setups I am considering is:
  • Installing the CCM 2.5/1
  • Fuel Beast 18x9 wheels with 20 offset
  • Nitto Ridge Grappler 285/65r18 (32.56x11.5)
I'm pretty sure it would look awesome, I would love some opinions on that if you'd like to share...
But back to my question in the title; if I install the CCM and tires with a 1" larger OD, would I have to drop another 400 bucks on new shocks all around to make the ride ok? I've read some conflicting info on that...

Agreed. You can fit more tire than that. I'd consider a 295/60 if there weren't so dang expensive.
