Cruise Control Stop Working After LED Tail Light Install?

I just had this issue in a 2002 Yukon Denali. 2 6ohm 50 watt resistors 1 spliced inline on each brake wire solved the problem like a charm!

Still not sure why it happens, but yes you are right. For some reason putting LED bulbs in the brake lights of a NBS truck will cause the CC to not work. I know of at least 2 people that this happened to. They ended up just putting regular bulbs back in.

It's something to do with the power draw. I know from experience that 4th Gen Camaros have the same problem when using LED's in the third brake light. Just need the resistor.

Also, replacing your flasher with a "Novita LM487 Flasher", available on Amazon will resolve your problem without the need for any resistors.
