Cruise Control Stop Working After LED Tail Light Install?

I just had this issue in a 2002 Yukon Denali. 2 6ohm 50 watt resistors 1 spliced inline on each brake wire solved the problem like a charm!

Still not sure why it happens, but yes you are right. For some reason putting LED bulbs in the brake lights of a NBS truck will cause the CC to not work. I know of at least 2 people that this happened to. They ended up just putting regular bulbs back in.

The led tails you got didn't have the resistors built in. These ones have them built in and won't have that problem. But like you mentioned if you have this problem, resistors will fix the CC-

I purchased these and from the lack of cruise after install I'll assume no resistors

It's something to do with the power draw. I know from experience that 4th Gen Camaros have the same problem when using LED's in the third brake light. Just need the resistor.

Also, replacing your flasher with a "Novita LM487 Flasher", available on Amazon will resolve your problem without the need for any resistors.
