Compressor runs after start up

MY 2005 tahoe air ride compressor runs after ever start up. It just started doing this after the last trip with my RV. Is this normal ? It never Did this before.

I did take it to my mechanic and we found no leaks. Figured the compressor was bleeding down internally. Replaced compressor and now it only runs once in awhile. appears to be back to normal

I have a ‘14 (not an ‘05), but my compressor runs for approx 5 seconds upon every morning start. No leaks, most likely a diagnostic check after sitting for more than a specific amount of time.

Yes, it does a self test at start up. If you listen is exhausts air when you shut it off also.
