Not even 5000 miles on this POS and the driver seat is already collapsing and showing signs of wear.

I use the running board and am not overweight.

I can understand some wrinkles but the left side of the ass cusion is already collapsing and noticeably lower then the right side.

You think they would of fixed this by now?

Oh wait, it's a GM

maybe you have a bad seat then, I drove my 2000 for 12 years and it never showed even slight signs of collapsing and I am 6'4 210lbs

I agree, as I am 6'7" and have been as heavy as 250lbs yet my seat in the 2007 Sub never seemed to be like the OP describes. Maybe the seats are not as well made in the new generation, just like our 07-14 dashboards had cheap material that kept cracking and breaking apart.

I replaced the seat cover on my 2011 at 78k , I'm 195 and 5'10" . I think it wears from sliding out of the seat.
My sons 99 K3500 sits about 2 inches lower than the Hoe . I bet if I lowered mine the seat will last longer.

Def wears from sliding across it. Friction every day wears it away slowly, until you have a hole.
