Hi all,
Recently picked up a 04' RWD Yukon and am currently getting my part list together for a 3/5 setup to go with the 305/40r22s I have currently.
I would like to use Bilstein shocks in the front and it appears the DJM front -3'' arms use a specific shock by design, lower eyelet mount and a 9''-13.5'' range length. Is there a specific part that some have found to be a proper replacement for the inexpensive "Calmax" shocks. Did a little poking around so far and it looks like the first gen Ford Expedition shocks are the correct style(upper stem mount, lower eyelet mount) but with a collapsed length of a little over 10". I have one on hand randomly so I could install/check to see if the additional inch will interfere with travel when compressed(bottoming out shock before contacting bump-stop).
Thanks in advance!
