Picked up my 16' Tahoe this June...absolutely love it so far! I just couldn't imagine facing an Upstate, NY winter on those factory 22" Bridgestone street tires.

So I picked up some "winter wheels". Black Rhino Peak 22's and mounted them on Nitto Grappler G2 tires (285/45/22). Then I figured while I was at it, I might as well level the rear. Tony (norcalss) hooked me up with the Belltech 5321 rear leveling kit.

right on!! if you want the back to come down a little more you can
1) pull springs out
2) remove upper insulator
3) wrap top coil with 5/8 heater hose
4) install springs back in

truck will come down about 1/2 inch

Drop was exactly 2" on the nose... couldn't be happier.

Before drop: (37.5" from ground to gender)

After drop: (35.5" ground to fender)

Wow ... is it "Auto Ride??" And how does it "ride" on the "22's" with either set of wheels ... what do you think?? Ride "quality" is kinda "subjective" jst trying to get feel on the larger rims???

It is NON Auto Ride. The new tires are a little, and I mean just a little, louder than the factory tires. But they have a significantly more aggressive tread pattern so that is to be expected. As for the 22" wheels; in general they ride just fine. The 45 series sidewall is plenty thick enough to handle potholes, bumps, etc... you should have no hesitation whatsoever on selecting a set of 22's.

OK thanks ... it's a people thing apparently??? I'm old school I guess anything over 19's seems kinda crazy to me. Thanks for the feedback. :)
