I was just thinking about the amount of flex put on a car with a descent amount of bass and even with descent bumps, I can see my dash jump a little. How has the cracked dash affected your audio system and vice versa?

Concerns:
1) Sensitive shaky dash causes rattle when bass hits?
2) Heavy bass creating more/bigger cracks on dash?

A lot of people with systems on here, i'm sure one of you have a cracked dash and can tell us if you see the dash shaking, rattling. Would we need dash to be fixed or patched up before a system sounds good or we can get by?

  • yes, it does with Bass not as bad as big bumps but im pretty low and noticed it's getting worse on bumps. mine has the center speaker in the dash took it out filled under the dash with like 40 microfiber cloths and it way better. two sided 3m tape along the seam for the main dash and the smaller piece by the windshield no noise now. the system is two 12''s 1500 rms each
