Bad Hub?

If you grab the top and bottom of the hub and there is some play up and down/in and out, may mean there hub is bad? Is that a tough replacement if you get the wheel bearing/hub assembly?

Yes.

It's fairly easy if its a 2wd amd only marginally more difficult for 4wd.

Remove wheel(6 lug nuts)>
brake caliper(2 bolts)>
caliper bracket(2bolts)>
slide off rotor(may have 1 screw holding rotor)>
remove hub assembly(3 bolts from back side of spindle).

If 4wd the only added step is removing the large nut in the the center of the hub on the CV axle shaft.
