So I am the new owner of a 2011 Yukon XL Denali. I noticed the autoride compressor turns on when i turn the car on. This is normal from what I have read. However with no changes to the load on the truck the compressor kicks on from time to time. From what I have read this could indicate leak in the system. Do you guys happen to have any tips or tricks pin pointing/checking for a leak? Also the top end of the motor was recently rebuilt, could this have anything to do with it? I appreciate any help on this.

That's perfectly normal. If it runs for more than a minute or if the rear of your Yukon looks low after sitting overnight then you might have a leak but to occasionally run for a bit at startup is normal.
