I looked at various sites and saw a pad washing bucket.

It looks like over priced bucket with a grit guard for like $125

Does this thing work?

Do I need it?

Not exactly sure on your original post. I have acouple orange Home Depot buckets and a West Marine shorty bucket, both with grit guards for wash downs and a couple Pep Boys buckets for products. Wash my mitts and microfiber towels in the laundry machine. Soak my detailing pads in one of the spare buckets with some pad cleaner, then rinse out and air dry. Still costs less than $125. Just my .02.

Oh.....
Haven't really seen anyone use one.
Most I see blow them out with air, then just wash them normally.
