hey guys, recently bought a 2015 suburban LT, black on black. I have been slowly modding her and will post pics soon. im going for the LTZ look on the exterior and so far i have added:

OEM fogs w/chrome molding
OEM chrome mirror covers
OEM rear hitch cover
chrome rear bumper molding
Weathertech floormats
20% tint on fronts to match rears and 50% windshield

i have some chrome molding i bought from ebay for the side running boards that im waiting to put on (too cold) and want to add chrome molding to the roof rack as well to complete the LTZ theme

anyone know the best way to go about adding this molding to the running boards? im afraid the constant stepping on the running boards will eventually make the chrome molding come off. i looked into getting OEM LTZ running boards but they are about $600 for the pair so im not sure if its worth it?

also has anyone found good molding for the roof rack that works well? its an odd shape so i wasnt sure how to tackle that. tried some chrome vinyl but the version i bought was crap and wouldnt stiick very well.

any help is much appreciated.

i put them on yesterday.

basically i cleaned the surface with soap to remove all waxes, oils and dirt. cleaned the surface with rubbing alcohol and applied the molding to ensure a good bond.

heres a few pics showing everything i have done so far...

chrome mirror covers
chrome running board trim
chrome rear bumper trim
tow hitch cover
fog lights
chrome fog light trim
tinted windshield
plasti dipped emblems

i installed the chrome strip on back bumper and it is aftermarket.

Sounds great man. I saw them on eBay but wasn't sure if it was just a thin strip like I used on the back bumper or a different design/shape?

I'd like to order it and will wait for your pics before I do so.
