well i was tired of my trailer hitch, tow strap, jumper cables and some other stuff always in the way. so I decide to make some storage. Mine didn't come with a sub and I don't plan on getting one. All i did was cut it with a razor blade. Real easy too do and can't even tell when the lid is closed. In my opinion it was a useless storage spot.
