Hello from Sweden.

I've had a couple GM-SUV's in the past.
2000-06 Tahoe and Suburbans + 2007 and 2008 Escalade ESV + 2007 Suburban.

Now I have a 2011 Suburban LTZ whit 45.000 miles in mint condtion.
This is the best car/truck I ever had.

But now I want to import a 2007-14 Suburban from California and ship it to Sweden.
The only reason is that it could be a fun experience.
The shipping is 1900 usd from L.A to Sweden.
In Sweden we must pay 25% tax and 10% fee of the cars price in USA + the shipping cost.
So if i buy a Burb for 10.000 usd it's a total cost of 21.000 usd for me home in Sweden.

I bought my Suburban last year for 40.000 USD.
Its the half price if I buy one in the states for 10.000 usd. But for 10.000 it's hard to find a low milage 2007 or newer.

Should I just keep my trouble free Suburban?

Heres a pic of my burb:

Regards from Sweden

Is the new one going to be in addition to the 2011 you already have or is it going to replace it?

If you are replacing the current one, I wouldn’t even bother. For 10K you are only going to find high-mileage examples that most of the time have been run to the ground.

Yeah, why would you want to swap a low mileage suburban which looks to be in amazing shape for a slightly older one with much higher mileage? Stick with what you have, especially if what you have already doesn’t have any problems.

Thanks for the respond. Yeah, I was thinking of replacing my 11.

Recently sold my 2007 Suburban with 236,000 for $8,500 to the fist looker. Your 2011 would be very hard to upgrade at any reasonable price considering your import and shipping fees. I say keep your baby as is... Eric P.

Okay, thanks! If export to Sweden should be good when you are looking at Suburbans. You need to buy a 2015 or 2016.
They are realy expensive here. A used 2015 whit 82.000 km = 51.000 miles. Cost 70.000 USD.
Here is the Swedish ad https://www.blocket.se/stockholm/Chevrolet_Suburban_LTZ_78924921.htm?ca=23_7&w=3
It´s cheaper for us to buy a 1 or 2 year old car in the U.S. and ship it to Sweden.
But when you look at 5 to 10 years old cars, it looks like its almost the same price.
I count the sale price in USA + shipping cost to Sweden compared to the same cars in Sweden.

I have hard to decide this. Love my Burb but really want to import a Burb from the states.

I'm a little afraid to buy one with 150k - 200k miles, not fun when its home in Sweden.
Maybe a need tho replace engine mounts, water pump, shocks etc.
I´ve found some Suburbans and Escalade ESV 2007 up in Florida for around 10-12k usd.
Looks great on pictures.

Maybe I'm missing something here, but I just don't get why on earth you would even consider going from a 2011 low-mile Suburban to something several years older and with 100K+ more miles.

Or are you making payments on the current one and selling it to get rid of the payment and then getting another one with the left over money and have no payment? That's the only scenario I see making any sense, albeit very little, at all.

Or is there something really wrong with the current one that makes you want to get rid of it? Having something wrong with it is kind of hard to believe, too, when it has such low miles...
