Your gonna need the PCM, wiring harness, and all the supporting gear due to the Displacement on Demand and Variable Valve Timing. Then integrating that into the 2001 body, not to mention what transmission are you running. Then you have fuel delivery issues, as the 6.2 was a returnless system, where the 2001 has a return style fuel system.....and the list keeps going......

Basically it would be a lot of work to integrate into the older platform. You would be way ahead looking for a LQ4 6.0......

You can do a LPE harness to make the 58t reluctor work.

Did they ever get that adapter thing working better? Regardless, I still wouldn't recommend a 6.2 over a 6.0 because of all the differences unless you already have the 6.2 and don't mind a challenge. You can swap the cam and do other small things to a Gen3 LQ4 or LQ9 and have more power than a 6.2 and it would be a direct swap.
