You could add some 2x4's and add some more plywood to cover your electronics and still have a flat floor. looks good though. just worth.

Folding the seat is not enough? Is the regular vs XL different?

Yes, they are different. The short version floor sits a lot higher compared to the Burb/XL. I didn't realize this until I was in a 16 yukon rental a few weeks ago.
