2006 Yukon panasonic rear LCD screen HELP

I installed a double DIN head unit in my Yukon with the PAC adapter so steering wheel controls, etc will work. Since doing this I get no audio out of my DVD player. Even with the factory setup it was always tricky to get the darn thing working.

I'd like to either fix the audio or just rip that screen out and put a bigger one in. What have ya'all done to fix this problem?

Is the DVD player in your head unit or is it a separate unit? I installed a double din with DVD player built in, and removed the old factory CD changer that was separate. If your HU doesn't play DVDs get one that does. I don't have a rear screen though.
